Hello everyone, Dr. Hooper here from the Linden Medical Centre. We are a mental health clinic in downtown Saskatoon with a focus on interventional psychiatry for patients with treatment resistant mental health disorders. We are among the first in Canada to use IV Ketamine to treat depression and PTSD. We also offer rTMS, and recently I became the first psychiatrist in Canada to have a patient approved under the federal Special Access Program to use psilocybin to treat depression. The Linden Medical Centre is known nationally for providing modern treatments in interventional psychiatry. We plan to continue to grow our skills, work hard to constantly improve our treatments, and always be at the forefront of what’s new in psychiatry.
Downtown is the biggest and best gathering place in the city. Whether we’re working or not, we love being a part of that. Nowhere else can you look out your window, or go for a walk, and see so much happening. Fancy new things come out all the time, but there’s something to be said for simple and reliable. That’s how we think of Saskatoon, and that’s what we love about it. Saskatoon may not have much of the biggest, or the best, but what we’ve got is reliable, and it works. This is why after searching the city for an appropriate place to call home, we stopped at 149 Pacific Avenue. Our hospital grade building provides our patients with amazing access to our services. With ample parking, nearby fitness facilities, shopping, services, and food, downtown is such a great place for staff to enjoy coming to work.
We’d love to see downtown develop into a vibrant entertainment district. We are also thrilled to hear of the possibility of a grocery store at Midtown. This could be the most important enhancement to downtown we’ve seen.
