Designs must clearly outline the proposed improvements to allow the review committee to accurately evaluate the project, and clearly see that the finished project looks like what was intended during the application process.

Building, sign, and/or permits may be required based on the extent of the improvements to be completed. These requirements are not waived for the program and should be applied for prior to, or concurrently with, application for this program.

Applicants should be aware that the city of Saskatoon has a Façade and Heritage Conservation Grant and are encouraged to apply for that grant in addition to Downtown Saskatoon’s program. Businesses or properties receiving funding under the city program remain eligible for funding under Downtown Saskatoon’s program.
