The Downtown Sidewalk Sale returns July 9, 10 & 11, 2026, bringing three full days of commerce, culture and community spirit to the heart of the city. This beloved annual tradition draws thousands of visitors into our vibrant downtown, transforming our streets into a lively marketplace filled with shopping, food, entertainment, and endless summer fun.

As Downtown Saskatoon marks its 40th anniversary, this year’s Sidewalk Sale will be bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever. While the event itself has been running since 1979, this milestone year gives us the perfect reason to celebrate the businesses, makers, and visitors who have shaped this iconic summer experience.

A Celebration for Our District

To honour 40 years of Downtown Saskatoon, we’re giving back to the businesses that make our district thrive. All Downtown Saskatoon partners in our district will receive complimentary registration* for the 2026 Sidewalk Sale. We expect strong participation from across the district – and as always, we welcome the incredible vendors and partners who join us from across the city and all corners of the province. *Note: All businesses located in Downtown Saskatoon are only required to pay $150 to hold their spot and will be refunded after the event, as a thank you for 40 successful years together in Downtown Saskatoon.*

A Citywide Summer Tradition

Each year, thousands of people stroll through the Sidewalk Sale, exploring retail deals, local artisans, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment. The event aligns strategically with the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, bringing even more visitors into the district and creating a vibrant flow of people throughout the weekend.

Expanded Stre-Eatery Social Block

Back by popular demand – and bigger than ever – the Stre‑eatery Social Block will offer a diverse mix of food, drink, and entertainment options for all ages.
New for 2026: extended hours until 7 p.m. to welcome the supper crowd and keep the block buzzing into the early evening.

40th Anniversary Giveaways

To mark this milestone year, Downtown Saskatoon will be giving away special anniversary swag and prizes throughout the event. It’s our way of saying thank you for four decades of community support.
