A Spooky Downtown Tale – McKim Block

McKim Block is a three-storey raised apartment building located on 23rd Street which was built in 1913. The McKim Block is valued for its association with W.W. McKim, one of Saskatoon’s earliest realtors. That is not the only individual of importance known to the history of the building though.

Suite 9 has been known to have a barefoot visitor from time to time. A nurse wearing a 1920s uniform has been known to roam to rooms, swap keys for 1920s coins, and be seen motionless in thought sitting on the end of beds within the bedrooms. Some have said to have been woken up by the pinching of toes, believing the nurse is checking to see if they are passed, paralyzed, or sleeping….

Perhaps the suite 9 visitor is nothing more than a sweet memory of someone, we might just tiptoe away from this one though….
