Downtown has a lot of outdoor options to enjoy throughout the year, but it also has a lot of indoor ones too. The next time the weather is a bit chilly, wet, or you just want to have some cozy indoor fun, consider the following your go to options.

Downtown has numerous great cafe + coffee shop options to choose from, but only one with purring cats to enjoy. Perfect Cup Cat Cafe is located at 142 2 Ave S, it offers food and drink options and provides a fun, friendly, cozy environment for twenty adoptable cats. No reservations are required, there is a $8 fee per adult + $6 for children.

Coors Common Room is a universal entertainment experience located at 241 2 Ave S. Open every Friday and Saturday from 9PM – 2AM, when a touring act is not performing. With a large variety of games from pool tables to card games – they have a little bit for everyone. Challenge your friends while you enjoy live local entertainment.

Stuck and can’t make a decision? Why not try one of two escape room locations Downtown.

Escape City, located at 248 3 Ave S, brings stories to life. Each escape room is meticulously crafted by their team of carpenters, engineers, and game designers. An out-of-the-box experience that’s a break from the same-old, same-old.

 

Escape Manor, located at 245 2 Ave S, is a multi-experience lounge, with four different themed escape rooms to choose from. Axe throwing + darts reimagined are located within the lounge space with a cocktail program available for your enjoyment as well.

  • Bridges Art Movement, 5 – 115 3rd Ave S, is an artist residency program space. 
  • The Drop Spot, 117 3rd Ave S, is a local gallery studio space filled with a variety of local artists and mediums. 
  • The Gallery | Art Placement, 228 3rd Ave S, shows solo and group exhibitions with an ever-changing showcase of original art in a variety of mediums.
  • The Gallery at Frances Morrison Central  Library, 311 23rd St E, is a gallery with a focus on emerging and established local artists.
  • Remai Modern, 102 Spadina Cr E, is Saskatoon’s museum of modern and contemporary art. 
  • The Ukrainian Museum of Canada, 910 Spadina Cr E, is North America’s first Ukrainian Museum. Celebrates and promotes the arts, culture, and legacy of the Ukrainian Canadian community. 

Frances Morrison Central Library is located at 311  23rd St E. The library features a local history department with accessible public archives, free wifi, public computers, scanning, photocopying + printing. The library offers a wide array of events + services, from family story time and puppet shows,  to help in job hunts, family law, tech + more.

Looking to sit back, put your feet up and enjoy a show? Scotiabank Theatre and VIP is located at 347 2 Ave S. With up to 30 options + a wide array of food + snack options, you truly can enjoy dinner and a show.

Feel like being active? Why not visit or join the YMCA. Located at 25 22 St E, the YMCA has a focus on family, programming, childcare, and growth. From health + fitness classes and workshops to aquatic classes + options, the Y has something for everyone.

Looking for something to stimulate + inspire your kids? Wonderhub is located at 950 Spadina Crescent E, Saskatchewan’s children’s museum that brings children and families together to create, learn, play, and explore without boundaries. With multiple exhibits that encourage kids to discover the world around them through creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and imagination. It is sure not to disappoint those young at heart + age.
