Hi there! My name is Kassidy, I’m the manager at The Shoppe in Saskatoon’s beautiful River Landing. I’ve been involved in the Downtown community with The Shoppe for the last year and every day I feel grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community. Whether it is summer selfies with Dippin Dots Ice Cream or families warming up in winter with hot chocolates, being a part of what brings people together with smiles on their faces is what I live for.

The Shoppe is a place for everyone, additionally, we have many perfect photo-op opportunities around the store. It makes for the perfect place to spend an afternoon Downtown after walking the riverbank. Our beautiful pink store is also affiliated with The Sugar Shack located just down the outdoor stairs from The Shoppe. Through these businesses, we are so grateful to work with teens and adults from across Saskatoon as well as employ new Canadians in our bakery! We make sure you always see a friendly face when you walk in our doors and are always working hard to make sure we have new and exciting products and experiences for everyone to keep up with Downtown’s evolving culture. We’ve recently launched a full Brunch menu as well as weekend specials changing every week!

Whenever I’m not hanging out with our staff in The Shoppe, or cooling off with Dole Whip from The Sugar Shack, you can find me enjoying a local restaurant or checking out local events around downtown like Street-stall Saturdays and sidewalk sales! Downtown is the perfect meeting place for everyone from across the city and all of the surrounding areas. It offers a sense of community to all people to gather and enjoy local experiences throughout every season. The beautiful scenery of our river and the parks and paths that connect them pair perfectly with the unique offerings and hidden gems that are available for everyone to see Downtown.

Saskatoon is by far my favourite city that I’ve experienced in Canada, no matter where you look you can find something new and exciting to do and see. The sense of community that Saskatoon produces is outstanding and makes anyone who visits or who has recently moved to our city feel so at home. I believe that our incredible scene of local businesses plays hugely into that! I look forward to watching Saskatoon expand and continue to grow its community of incredible people.
