PUBLIC PARKING

Downtown Saskatoon hosts over 14,000 parking spaces! About half of these parking spaces are public; 20 are equipped to charge electric vehicles at Midtown + River Landing; Approximately 2,000 are on-street parking spaces, and; Midtown has 1,875 parking spaces.

Currently, parking meters require payment from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays. Payment amounts, payment options and time credit per coin are displayed on all parking meters. Maximum allowable time limits are displayed on each meter.

Sundays and Statutory Holidays do not require payment.

Time limits for meters on Saskatoon streets vary depending on location, ranging anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, with the majority being 90 minutes or 2 hours.

Important tips and reminders about the systems and public parking in Saskatoon:

  1. Have your licence plate number handy when paying at a new station; you’ll need it at every transaction.
  2. Don’t forget to note the maximum allowable time where you’re parking; you can only park as long as the sign indicates, regardless of how much time you buy.
  3. You don’t need to display a dashboard ticket; your plate provides proof of payment.
  4. Additional parking time may be purchased after your last purchase expires, provided you have not exceeded the maximum allowable time posted at your parking space.
