Started in 2021, ALLEY GALLERY was created to build excitement around an otherwise un-celebrated space. We believe art brings a community together, and ALLEY GALLERY is here to celebrate many local artists of all backgrounds and skill levels.
This project is completed by Downtown Saskatoon, with the support of the City of Saskatoon – Urban Design’s Opportunity Response, Property + Business Owners, and of course, you the Artists.
Artworks will be selected to complement each other, creating a dynamic ALLEY GALLERY between 2nd + 3rd Ave S and 20th + 21st St E.
SUBMISSION DETAILS
- Images of artwork in any medium are accepted. Designs must be original to the artist and priority will be given to Saskatoon artists. There is no required theme, but artwork must be family-friendly.
- Art will be applied to doors in vinyl, with a black painted door frame. Some doors may require address or safety stickers to be applied, potentially resulting in covered portions.
- Doors range in sizes and may result in minor cropping when needed. All submissions should be sized to 96 inches in height and 40 inches in width at 300dpi.
- Please submit CMYK files for color accuracy, any RGB files will be converted.
- Selections will be made by Downtown Saskatoon and participating Property + Business Owners.
- Compensation will be made to selected artists by July 2024. A one time payment of $600/ will be made for image/single door use.
- Deadline for submissions is May 2, 2024.
- Selected artist will be contacted by end of June with installations taking place within July.
