Saskatoon administration and the City are expected to move ahead with the proposed Downtown 30 to 40-bed temporary shelter to be located on Pacific Avenue.
A meeting on Sept 16th with residents and businesses helped to address and discuss many aspects of the plan and road ahead. While the province, which is responsible for the shelter, wasn’t present for the meeting, City members as well as representatives from the Alberta-based nonprofit, Mustard Seed, hired to run the facility were.
An official council vote on whether to approve the shelter will take place on September 25th at the city council meeting.
