Downtown Saskatoon Announces Resignation of Executive Director

Downtown Saskatoon announces with regret the resignation of Brent Penner, who has served as the Executive Director since 2013. Brent will be stepping down from his position effective June 30, 2024.

Brent Penner has been an invaluable asset to Downtown Saskatoon over the past eleven years. His leadership, vision, and dedication have significantly contributed to the growth and development of the district. Brent has played a crucial role in numerous successful projects, and his efforts have left a lasting positive impact on the community.

Brent Penner shared his thoughts on his departure: “I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to serve in this position for as long as I have. I am proud of the organization, proud of how things have evolved over the last eleven years, and thankful to have had the support of wonderful board members and a diligent staff team over the years. There are tremendous projects on the horizon, and we have played a role in getting them to the stage they are at, and with continued effort and advocacy, I am confident the future is very bright for this district and our city!”
