Hello, my name is Julia. I’ve been in the hair industry for over 15 years, the last 7 of which have been in Saskatoon. I moved here from Edmonton to open a small one chair shop, which grew into High Noon after a year and a half. High Noon is celebrating our fifth year of business this May!

Wherever I’ve lived, I’ve always chosen to be Downtown. I like being in the center of the city, events, culture and forward thinking people. I think Saskatoon’s Downtown is special because it has some of the best entrepreneurs in the city. In the short time I’ve been here I’ve made many amazing life-long, small-business-owning friends.

In the future, I hope to continue seeing my shop grow, attracting great clients and some of the best barbers in the province. After two years of no gatherings, it’s exciting to be putting on events again! It’s been hard not being able to come together with our community. Like many Downtown, I’m looking forward to the new library and am crossing my fingers for an arena and a grocery store in the near future!

I live and spend most of my time Downtown. When I am not working I tend to be going for walks by the river, eating at the best restaurants, or shopping – there’s always something to do within walking distance!

Why is Saskatoon special to me? I started coming here years ago to get tattooed – I really loved the city and the people. I told my tattoo artist I would move here in a heartbeat if the right space opened up, and I lucked out! Saskatoon will always be special to me because it’s where I started my first business, met my partner and have made many amazing friends.
