The City of Saskatoon is pleased to announce that applications for the Winter 2024-25 Seasonal
Commercial Enterprise (SCE) program are now open.
What is SCE?
The Seasonal Commercial Enterprise program allows entrepreneurs and businesses to operate within a
Downtown park, supporting sport, recreation and cultural opportunities and events. This fantastic program provides an opportunity for you to share your passion with the community.
Important Dates:
Winter Operating Season: November 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025
Application Deadline: August 15, 2024
Spring Operating Season: May 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025
Application Deadline: February 15, 2025

The Application Process:
The City of Saskatoon will assemble an Adjudication Committee to review applications. Each submission
will be assessed based on criteria outlined in the Seasonal Commercial Enterprise in Parks Policy No. C10-026.
Once your application is approved, and all the necessary documentation is in order, the City’s Planning
and Development Division will issue a permit and a business license. The annual permit costs vary from
$600 for not-for-profit ventures to $1,800 for for-profit enterprises. Additionally, there is a $135 fee for a
new business license.
