Every year since 1980, people in Saskatoon have been travelling around the world through Folkfest. People have been learning about all the different cultures that make this amazing city what it is by experiencing heritage and tradition through food, dance, and so much more.
Since 1982 the Indian & Metis Pavilion has been a constant presence at the annual festival. The Saskatoon Indian and Métis Friendship Centre is located at 168 Wall St and invites you to come and join where you will learn about their culture, history, and traditions.
You will experience wonderful hospitality, exciting and interactive entertainment as well as amazing food. You will have the chance to watch and even learn how to do the Red River Jig, Hoop Dance or Roundance, which happens hourly. There will also be traditional jewellery, artwork and food available.
Warm bannock and new friends are waiting for you on August 17, 18, and 19 at the Indian and Metis Pavilion.
