Destination Downtown

Since early 2019, a diverse group of individuals and organizations came together to examine what strategies where needed to stimulate development in Downtown Saskatoon. Many ideas were developed and are contained in a 2019 document called Inquiry Toward a Downtown Stimulus Strategy for Saskatoon (read here). One of the stated goals was to articulate a Downtown narrative that would tell the story of how Downtown was established, and how Downtown truly is the living room for all of Saskatoon and a destination for the entire region. The hope is this document will appeal to those looking to live, work, play or invest in Saskatoon’s Downtown. We’re proud of our Downtown, where we’ve come from and where we’re looking to be in the future, keeping in mind we are “Urban With a Prairie Heart.”
