As the final note rang out on another unforgettable year, the 2025 Saskatchewan Jazz Festival closed with a spirit of celebration, community, and world-class music. Executive Director Shannon Josdal, along with her dedicated team, led the charge in curating a lineup that lit up Downtown Saskatoon with energy, soul, and rhythm.
From international headliners to incredible local talent, this year’s festival was packed with memorable moments and surprise performances that had audiences dancing in the streets and exploring vibrant downtown venues. “It was a year filled with special moments,” Josdal shared. “There was magic in the air every single night.”
But while the music played on, this year also marked an important transition for the festival. For the first time in over 20 years, the Sask Jazz Festival is moving forward without a title sponsor, a major shift that brings both challenge and opportunity.
To meet this moment, the festival has launched a new sponsorship initiative: the Cornerstone Package. This program gives local and national businesses the chance to directly partner with one of Saskatchewan’s most beloved cultural events. Josdal said, “Becoming a cornerstone sponsor means helping keep this festival alive and thriving for years to come.”
The Saskatchewan Jazz Festival has long been a vital part of Downtown Saskatoon’s cultural and economic heartbeat, drawing thousands of attendees, supporting local businesses, and bringing world-class performances to our riverfront. As the team begins to plan for 2026, they’re filled with optimism and a renewed sense of purpose.
With new partnerships on the horizon, exciting programming in the works, and the spirit of jazz at its core, the future is bright for this beloved summer tradition.
