CIVIC SERVICES FOR SASKATCHEWAN DAY ON MONDAY, AUGUST 5

The following are the hours of civic services and facilities for Saskatchewan Day on Monday, August 5:

·         City Hall will be closed.

·         Parking meters will not require payment. Motorists are required to move their vehicles within the time period shown on parking meters, allowing for a constant turnover of parking availability.

·         The Municipal Impound Lot will not be releasing vehicles to the public.

·         All locations of the Saskatoon Public Library will be closed. Please note that all libraries are closed Sundays until after the Labour Day weekend in September.

·         The Saskatoon Landfill will be open with regular summer hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

·         The Compost Depots on McOrmond Drive and on Highway 7 (at 11th Street) will be open with regular summer hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

·         Garbage and recycling collection will take place as scheduled.

·         The Mendel Art Gallery and Saskatoon Civic Conservatory will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free.
TRANSIT SERVICES ON MONDAY, AUGUST 5

·         Transit service will be provided and operate as regular Sunday/Holiday Service.

·         Transit Customer Service Centre will be closed.  Customer Service phone lines will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

·         Access Transit will be provided and operate as regular Holiday Service from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.  Normal booking procedures apply. Customers are reminded that subscriptions do not apply on statutory holidays.

 

LEISURE SERVICES ON MONDAY, AUGUST 5

·         Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park:  7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

·         Saskatoon Zoo:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

·         Kinsmen Park Play Village:  10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

·         Outdoor Pools: (George Ward, Lathey, Mayfair, and Riversdale)

*             Public Swim times: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

*             Lane Swim, Parent & Tot Swim and Aquafitness:  Cancelled

·         Spray Pads:  10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

·         Paddling Pools:  12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (weekend supervision)

·         Weekend Playground Programs:  12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (16 locations – visit www.saskatoon.ca/go/playgrounds for location map)

·         Lions SkatePark and SkateSites:  8 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

·         Holiday Park, Wildwood and Silverwood Golf Courses:  Dawn to dusk

·         Youth Centres:  CLOSED

·         MÈ TA WÈ TÀN Youth Centres: CLOSED

 

LEISURE CENTRES HOURS ON MONDAY, AUGUST 5

·         Cosmo Civic Centre: CLOSED

·         Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre:  CLOSED for annual maintenance

·         Lakewood Civic Centre

*             Facility and Fitness Room:  12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

*             Lane Swim:  12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

*             Public Swim:  1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

*             Drop-in basketball:  1:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m.

*             Public Gym:  5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

*             All regular fitness classes and Child Minding cancelled

·         Lawson Civic Centre

*             Facility and Fitness Room: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

*             Family Swim:  10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

o        Public Swim: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

o        All swimming lessons and regular fitness classes cancelled

·         Saskatoon Field House

o   Facility and Fitness Room:  9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

o   Holiday fitness class scheduled 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

o        All regular fitness classes cancelled

·         Shaw Centre

o        Facility and Hamm Fitness Centre & Walking Track: 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

o        Lane Swim (Leisure Pool) and Parent & Tot Swim:  12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

o        Lane Swim (Competitive Pool):  12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

o        Public Swim (Both Pools):  1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

o        All fitness classes and Child Minding cancelled

·         Fitness Circuit & Terry Fox Track (in the SaskTel Sports Centre): CLOSED
