Le Burger Week – Sticks & Stones

For the first time in Saskatchewan, Downtown Saskatoon will be hosting it’s very first Le Burger Week. Le what? Le burger week. Sorry, our mouths were full. It’s a week long festival that celebrates the best burgers in Canada, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it. Beginning in Montreal six years ago, the festival now generates over 150,000 participants in cities including: Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Quebec City, Ottawa, Calgary, Cleveland, Buffalo–and now Saskatoon! RIDE DOWNTOWN – DTNYXE Launches Free Bike Rental Service to Downtown Hotels

Today we launched something we’ve been planning for and something we’ve been excited about for some time. Today, in partnership with all eight DTNYXE hotels, was the day we launched our new free bike rental service so guests can hop on a bike and explore the city–Downtown and beyond–in a new way.   16 bikes–two for each hotel–will be available at the front desk of each Downtown hotel and are complimentary with every stay. We’re excited to launch the very first blog post on the new Be Downtown Blog, and even more excited to give you glimpses into our favourite spots and shops around DTNYXE – some old, some new, and that together all make the downtown district the vibrant and colourful place we know it as today. We’re lucky to have such great shopping in our district and, specifically, trend setter stores that constantly stock their racks and shelves with new arrivals–we’re looking at you, Tonic. So come join us downtown, follow our blog, and pop into Tonic (read on to check out some spring looks and find out why). For additional content and other ideas for where to go downtown, also be sure to follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook....

WayToPark – NEW FlexParking App

Today marks the launch of the parking app for Saskatoon! Parking just became more flexible. The app is known as Way to Park.  It provides all the same functionalities to buy parking.  Once all user account info is entered, the app is a literal three step process to be parked, paid and on your way. Users can pay for parking from their smart phone, add time to an existing purchase from wherever they happen to be – in a meeting, at an appointment, or if that lunch or shopping visit ended up being longer than originally expected. The simplest way to do download the app is to search for “WayToPark” where you normally download apps to your mobile device. The app is available for both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). For further details, visit the links below. Info on the app will also soon be added to the parking stations themselves to help communicate the information to users. Click here for a PDF of FAQs. Click here to visit the City’s Flex Parking...
